It's always the joy of experimenting with mixing vivid colours that inspire me. I made this scarf when we were in the deep of winter, and the cheery combination of the deep blue-turquoise and orange cheered me with the thought of a much warmer Caribbean climate.

Full description
This light-weight scarf is handwoven, using a weft of hand-spun yarn that is 75% merino wool mixed with 25% bamboo. The yarn is drenched in a blue atoll colour, with flashes of bright orange, turquoise and white bamboo that bring a sheen to the fabric. This is then woven onto a warp in a matching blue, along with the odd stripe of deep orange. The scarf is 150cm long (excluding the tassels) and 19cm wide, an ideal size for wearing around the neck. Hand-wash carefully at low temperature and lie flat to air dry; the scarf can be ironed at low heat.
