I love making these vases. I make a mosaic of the solid coloured glass pieces that I want to use cutting the pieces in different shapes. Once I heat them up in the kiln I then roll the molten clear glass across the mosaic of colour and go on to build up layers of colour and interest with glass powders and grits . Again revisiting this idea of 2 pieces in one as the sides are flattened so you have a different abstract visualisation on each side.
