Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance unique, full of history and character. To present and deliver Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Additional terms
All ceramic personally collected from river banks, charity shops, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each item comes with a short bio. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece. Ceramic will show marks, scratches and imperfections, all part of its history and journey.

There’s a lovely spot beside The River Tees, Barnard Castle, Co Durham. The river bank is sandy and the water often washes away the top soil exposing all sorts of mudlark finds.
On a sunny August day I came across quite a large shard, chunky and obviously part of a lid. Pretty blue flower design, after a thorough clean I started to work on the piece.
Sadly during the process a lot of the ceramic broke and I lost the part of the pattern I wanted. However, I managed to save the blue flower and create this pendant. The flower is slight off centre giving the necklace a different look, I had to work with what was left. Front glaze in tact with tiny scratches and crackle glaze, sides, backs smoothed and sealed with Eco Friendly sealant.
The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic.
Pendant measures approximately 30 mm x 20 mm (widest) x 3 mm (widest).
Hanging on black woven cord 44 cm, sterling silver ends and clasp.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production. Sustainable gifts, complete with short bio and gift bag.
