The idea is to create something new from old, the finished piece isn't meant to be perfect. Instead, retain marks, stains and scratches, part of the original character of the ceramic. All Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and may also have imperfections or scratches.
Jewellery boxes are made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue. Jewellery box inserts are made from tall oil, a by-product of wood pulp industry. All paper, card, glue, inks and delivery boxes used are made from recycled materials.
PLEASE CONTACT FOR ORDERS TO US, DUE TO RECENT CHANGES I NO LONGER HAVE THE DELIVERY OPTION ACTIVATED.
The idea is to create something new from old, found by chance, full of history and character. To present and deliver unique Eco Friendly gifts in Sustainable Packaging.
I love collecting ceramic discarded, lost, forgotten, damaged or just not wanted any more. Favourite places are rivers and beaches, but also find great things at recycling centres and charity shops. I’m lucky to live near the River Tees, Co Durham and often walk the banks picking up broken glass, pottery anything that can be cleaned and re-worked and crafted into something new. Bits and bobs found by chance waiting to find new homes.

Additional terms
Hand crafted Jewellery and framed artworks using pre loved and discarded ceramics. Ceramic material will show signs of wear and damage. Entire process is a creative experience from discovery to final picture, nothing planned or preconceived. All materials personally collected from river banks, charity shops, roadside, woods, recycle centres, beaches, wherever dropped, dumped or donated ceramics are found, cleaned and shaped into new stories. Each titled piece comes with bio of where the ceramic came from, known history, original information and when the artwork was created. Some ceramics collected are used as found, while others are cut randomly which will shape the final picture. Every piece is individual, nothing replicated, however, due to repetitive patterns in ceramics there will be some similarity but only through the ceramic material not in the final piece.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Ceramic Discovered
Garstang, Lancashire
July 2025
Handcrafted into
Pendant February 2026
I visited Garstang, Lancashire on a lovely July day. I found a pretty Crown Ducal Florentine plate. Raised fruit and flowers pattern made in the 1950’s. One of the corners had broken off and badly glued, lots of the embossed pattern also damaged but still a wonderful find.
Eventually I risked clipping the rim to form random shards. I really love the tactile surface, with some parts more prominent, and the way the ceramic broke it created varied shapes.
This pendant is created through many hours of gently hand sanding and polishing the ceramic. This allows the glaze to shine and the edges to smooth naturally. The process creates it’s own style and finish, unique in every way.
The finished piece isn’t meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used. Ceramic and Sterling Silver is either recycled or repurposed and often show tiny marks left by the process of creation and recycling.
Pendant approximately 25 mm x 23 mmx 3 mm (widest).
Raised pattern and slight curve.
Hanging on 18 inch recycled sterling silver chain.
Delivered in gift box made from FSC®-certified cardboard and water-based glue.
Presented on Jewellery box insert made from tall oil, a by-product of paper production.
Complete with short bio, cleaning cloth and FSC®-certified gift bag.
