Curious about the enigmatic horned face on the front of the Reader's Digest Folklore, Myths and Legends of Britain book, I wanted to create a print for fellow lovers of Folkloric characters and stories, especially seeing as the original mask (photos of which I used as reference rather than the illustration) is lost to time. Reading up about it I found out it was likely used in charivari processions, also known as a Skimmington ride, where a scandal was performed in mock serenade to shame the culprits.
Also available, the smaller design on red with black mount, and as an orange 38mm pin badge, in my shop.

Full description
Water-based black matte ink print on white acid free 220gsm cartridge paper, hand-hand pressed with a spoon and touched up by hand also to give it a consistent tone all over. Choose which size option you would like from the drop down menu.
(Watermark only included to protect the online image, the print will only have edition number, title if needed and it will be signed by myself.)
Size of the smaller image is approx. 11.5 x 12 cm
Size of the smaller mount is approx. 18.5 x 21 cm
Size of the larger image is approx. 17 x 20 cm
Size of the larger mount is approx. 27 x 30 cm
Limited edition of 50 prints of the smaller design and 30 prints of the larger Delivered mounted and wrapped in cellophane.
All UK-bound items are sent 1st class delivery, signed for. Please contact me if you would prefer another method.
To care for you print, please keep it out of direct sunlight and away from moisture.
