Beautiful handmade chess sets, chess boards and chess pieces crafted for you here in Ireland. With over 15 years experience and an honors degree in fine art your disposal.
This listing is for a beautiful custom made Baroque styled replica set of highly detailed Staunton themed chess pieces.
The pieces are made from reconstructed stone and then cold cast before being beautifully finished in Metallic Aged Gold and Silver paints and mounted onto high quality green felt bases.
The detail in these pieces are amazing and this chess set represents high quality design with a very traditional theme.
This highly craved set is sure to be a real talking point and is an absolute joy to play with. The tallest piece (The King) is 9cm s tall with a base that is just shy of 3cm with the pawns being 4.5cms tall with a 2cm base making this a nicely sized collection of chessmen giving the player several options of board size.
As well as enjoying the aesthetic quality of playing chess with such a beautiful chess set, the act of playing chess itself has been linked to a variety of health benefits and is said to help develop perspective, improve memory, increase intelligence, deepen focus, elevate creativity, boost planning skills, increase self-awareness, protect against dementia, help ADHD and reduce panic attack symptoms.
