As a sewist I accumulate a lot of scraps. One of my favourite ways to use them is in one of my knitting bags. I use quilt blocks that I have made but not put into the quilt, either because the colour was not quite right or I made too many.
These bags always come out pretty and fun and are always my favourite. What a fun way to use up scraps.

Full description
This knitting bag is quilted from a selection of cream, beige and brown fabrics. The main panels are quilt blocks that did not make it into the quilt because the colours were not quite right. The rest of the fabric have all been recycled from my scrap box where I place all of the left over fabric from quilts and other projects. The fabrics are sewn together in the traditional patchwork style and are quilted on my machine. There is also lace trim around top of the bag.
The bag is fully lined with a remnant of upholstery fabric and is machine washable. All of the fabrics used in the outer bag are 100% cotton.
The bag is 20.5" Wide x 9.5" deep, it also has a 4" gusset. There is plenty of room for your yarn project, to store or carry.
The bag is very pretty with a vintage vibe. It is completely one of a kind. It would make a beautiful gift for a knitting or crochet enthusiast.
