Full description
Meandering of the Needle is a handmade, felted hanging that was made by using the wet-felting method. I used merino wool with tussah silk and other fabrics, felted in with the wool to give different textures and effects. I embellished the piece by adding fabric, hand dyed silks, used teabags, yarn and fruit nets, which I embroidered with cottons and wool, to give a variety of textures to the surface. It has been stitched onto a piece of strong furnishing fabric with board at the top half for extra support where I have stitched the hanging twine. The size is approx. 36 x 43cm
It will be wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in a strong, rigid cardboard envelope and sent in the UK and overseas by Royal Mail.
