Full description
Textural Blends is a one of a kind, unframed tapestry weaving, handwoven with a mixture of yarns. I have used a green cotton warp, and the weft is a combination of wool, including some of my hand spun and hand dyed, silk, rayon, lurex and viscose mix in various shades of pink, red and black, grey, peach, gold and lilac. I combined bundles of yarns in the different hues to make subtle colour changes and used a variety of different stitches including french knots, ghiordes knots and random weave, to create a varied texture throughout. It took many hours to weave because of the number of colour changes and techniques used. It is stitched onto a piece of linen mix fabric which measures approx 30 x30cm and is ready for framing in a standard frame, readily available online.
It will be well wrapped in tissue and card and posted with Royal Mail. Where possible I reuse packaging to reduce cost to the customer and to the environment.
