ROSE DORSET BUTTON BROOCH OR PIN

This listing is for a 3.3cm Dorset button brooch or pin. I made this by using various techniques of working cotton thread around a brass ring, forming a gold and orange rose with deep green leaves. This is all set on an olive green background. I have attached a silver plated brooch back for easy attachment to clothing, bags etc.

This would make a great birthday gift for a friend or family member. I can send direct to a recipient with gift wrapping and message. You can request this at check out.

The creation of Dorset buttons was originally a large cottage industry in Dorset, England between 1622 and 1850, after which they were overtaken by machine-made buttons. This ancient craft is enjoying a revival and I love making them with modern materials and to my own contemporary designs.

This brooch measures 3.3cm in diameter.

Please see the other flower brooches I have for sale. I am happy to take custom orders.
