Handspun Knitted Merino & Silk Kerchief Cowl, Fawn, Peach
I blended merino wool in shades of fawn, milk chocolate and peach together with some mulberry silk and then handspun this blend into a lightweight yarn. I then knitted this kerchief cowl (my own design) using bands of stocking stitch, eyelets and trellis stitch.
This cowl gives the look of a triangular scarf or shawl, but it doesn't have the bulky crossover at the back. Please see all the photos. Great for wearing with a top or under a coat or jacket to fill in the 'V' at the front.
The colour gives an overall shade of fawn but there are little peach touches and white highlights from the silk. All the fibres are supersoft and not at all itchy.
