Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

Many people have left their mark on this tree over the years in the form of graffiti. I have long been fascinated by the layers of personal history and the stories behind these markings, initials, symbols and words left on living objects (and inanimate ones).
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

Full description
This is an original acrylic painting of a tree which I photographed while visiting Dunkeld in the Scottish Highlands at Stanley Hill, which is under the protection of the National Trust for Scotland.
The painting is created in a mixture of Daler-Rowney System 3 Original and Winsor & Newton Professional acrylic paints on Winsor & Newton Galeria acrylic paper. The painting measures approximately 7.7 inches by 4.7 inches and is mounted within a professionally cut cream coloured mount. The mount measures 12 inches x 9 inches.
I have signed, dated and titled the painting in pencil on the reverse. I will also enclose a small signed Certificate of Authenticity.
I will send the painting out to you well wrapped in cellophane, tissue paper and in rigid cardboard to protect the canvas. I use a mixture of new and recycled material when I package my artwork.
I will post this painting out to you using Royal Mail's First Class Signed For service in the UK or Royal Mail's International Tracked and Signed For service for overseas delivery.
Any additional purchases ordered at the same time as this item will shipped free within the same package.
