Full description
A super lightweight yet still warm and cosy scarf. This scarf has been made with a base of beautifully soft merino wool fibres with a covering of recycled sari silk fibres to add additional colour, texture and sheen.
Layers of red merino wool and a layer of silk fibres have been wet felted, a process which causes the wool and silk fibres to bind together to make a stable fabric.
The silk fibres have been added to one side of the scarf only, the reverse has been left plain. . The silk fibres not only add colour but also texture and a beautiful sheen to the surface of the scarf.
The resulting scarf Is lightweight, soft and warm and measures approximately 172cm (68") x 20cm (8") and is long enough to tie in a knot or wrap around the neck for extra warmth if required.
Wool is a natural fibre making it eco friendly, sustainable and biodegradable. It is breathable and reacts to the body temperature giving warmth in the winter but cool in the summer making this an all season accessory. A lovely gift for mothers day or any other occasion.
The scarf will be shipped wrapped in tissue paper with a card explaining the felting process and washing instructions.
Handwash only in warm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
