I live only a mile or so away from the RSPB site at Frampton Marsh. It is one of my favourite places to visit, not only for the incredible wildlife, in particular some of my favourite wetland birds, but also for the subtle beauty of the landscape.
I’m not from Lincolnshire but over the 20+ years I’ve lived here, I’ve grown to respect and admire this beautiful county. The skies are big, the marshes are atmospheric and the wildlife is incredible. It’s ignited a passion for nature and wildlife, which has led me into painting.
I’m experimenting a little with my style of painting as my hand pain and limitations make it challenging. This is one of my more abstract, spotty/spoldgy styles, it allows me to express my love of the British coastline without causing too much discomfort.

Original painting in abstract spotty style of RSPB Frampton Marsh Nature Reserve from above.
I took a small section of the marsh with pools of water, plants and birds. Looking at these wetlands from above gives you the view of the reserve seen by the birds.
