About Kellymountainart

Kellymountainart

Wildlife artist, passionate about animals and the environment.

I’m originally from Hertfordshire and moved to Lincolnshire over 20 years ago. My family and I live close to the marshland coastline where I find a lot of inspiration for my artwork.
I started drawing at a young age but like a lot of people I went down a different path for many years. I studied biology at university and went on to working in sales and marketing. However I have continued to be creative and have always been passionate about animals and plants.
I returned to art recently after developing many chronic illnesses, causing me to have physical limitations. I am working on accepting these and as a result I am finding new ways to cope and flourish.
I am using art and my therapy and find it helps me in numerous ways. Painting and drawing takes me away from my reality and allows me to concentrate on the piece of art I am creating and the animals or plants I’m using as my reference.
I try to find subjects that interest me as well as exploring different techniques and materials as I go.
This is a new chapter in my life and one I hope will provide joy to anyone looking at or purchase my artwork.
