When I look for a subject to paint I look for a story, composition, light and tone. These qualities come to me in an instant as I'm walking around. This is why I always carry a camera of some sort. I viewed 'Rowena' on one of my many trips to Folkestone. I like to walk among the fishing boats a low tide. I find that the boats sitting high upon the sand provide interesting perspective against the varying colours and tone of the wet sand and mud, separated by pools of stranded tide and tangled weed. As the boats are sitting high they also create drama through interesting shadows.

Full description
Original Watercolour Painting of one of Folkestone Harbours fishing boats. The tide is out and Rowena is waiting patiently for the rising tide to kiss her hull.
Painted on 300gsm watercolour paper, size 35 x 50.8. Can be easily trimmed to fit a 35 x 50 frame.
Paining is sold as is, without frame or mount. I have provided an image with a frame for reference purposes.
