A sympathy card that has been individually drawn and watercoloured. This one-of-a-kind card measures 12.5 x 17.5 cms and has a focal image of the blue himalayan poppy. The sentiment reads, sending peace and comfort. It is blank white on the inside of the card, for writing a personal message.
Poppies mean different things in various cultures, I chose the blue poppy for its calming and peaceful properties. I sketched the design and painted it with quality artist grade watercolour paints. The simple message on the card has been pressed into the paper with a letterpress style plate and archival ink in brown. The design panel has a faux torn edge and the card is made from 300gsm white hammered cardstock. Tiny details have been added with a white paint pen, pale blue archival ink and there are also tiny faux water droplets on the leaves.
Supplied with a 100% recycled brown kraft paper envelope and posted via Royal Mail. The card will be inside a clear protective card wrapper and mailed in a recyclable brown board-backed envelope.
