Looking at a broken chainsaw flywheel, it struck me that the aperture in the cup was just about the size of the tea light candles my other half had. In the event, it just needed opening out a couple of millimeters, then the thought of how to mount it came up, what better fit than a crankshaft similar to the one it came from, with a stable base made from salvaged timber

Full description
A novel and quirky industrial/automotive themed tea light candle holder. It is made from a chainsaw crankshaft with the connecting rod still in place as the upright, with a cut down and machined-out flywheel forming a cup to hold a 40mm tea light. The candle is a drop fit onto the cup, enabling easy removal to change it. Will also fit 40mm battery powered LED tea lights
The crankshaft is screwed into a Danish oiled base made from reclaimed scaffold plank to give the holder stability.
I have made several similar ones but each is different enough to warrant a separate listing.
