I cut and polish my own fordite, surfite and bowlerite, I'm happy to take commissions.

Full description
These sparkly drop earrings feature teardrops of fordite bezel set in sterling silver finished with simple sterling silver hooks. The fordite has a bold pattern of broad stripes in red, orange, sparkly silver and blue. They are a sister pair - the patterns don't match but the colour palette does so they make sense as a pair. They measure 44mm (from top of hook) by 16mm across, fordite is lightweight so comfortable to wear all day.
Fordite is layers of cured paint that builds up on paint lines at vehicle factories where the paint misses the panel it is meant for. This over spray builds up getting baked in between each layer giving a hard material which can be cut and polished to show the colours. This material I believe to have come from a Harley Davidson motorbike factory, they do lots of custom paint jobs which makes pinning down a specific year or factory difficult. Love the idea of fordite but want something else - drop me a message, I have a stash covering quite a few brands and years so should be able to make you what you want.
There is a flaw in the fordite in one of the drops - I think it was a bit of fluff that got embedded in the paint before it was cured - it's stable and I didn't want to polish it out as that would involve loosing a lot of the sparkly blue.
Measures 44mm (from top of hook) by 16 mm across and comes in a gift box.
