I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. The latest additions are two attractive sycamore drinks trays but more items to come.
Sometimes it is difficult to know what to do with small pieces of wood. In this case rather than make identical items I set out to turn varying pieces along the same theme.

Full description
A trio of small platters turned in oak. Each one has a different profile (indicated by the coloured asterisk in the photos). They have been burnished and given a food safe finish. They can be wiped clean but should not be immersed in water. They may be used as serving dishes for those tasty bites.
