I have taken the last few months off from woodturning to concentrate on my botanical water colour work a few examples of which you can view on my Instagram account. However, I have picked up the chisels again and will be adding new items and old favourites. Apart from exceptionally large pieces my items are delivered free of charge by Royal Mail, second class.

Full description
This brush pot is one of three I recently turned. The wood is cherry that has been carved and decorated with flakes to give an iridescent aspect. The colour changes according to the angle it is viewed from. A further embellishment is the use of black leather banding. The pot has been given a hard wearing wax finish in addition to a lacquer that was applied to fix the flakes.
