My love for trees came from living in the countryside, where I grew bonsais and Japanese maples. Recently, I moved back to London and missed the feeling of being surrounded by nature. I gave my bonsais and Japanese maples away to friends and family, but unfortunately, they were too difficult to take care of and withered. This gave me the inspiration to craft my own renditions of trees that will last forever and bring the peacefulness of nature into your homes.
This Butterfly Dandelion piece inspiration came from memories of my childhood of blowing the seeds of Dandelions and watching the little parachutes fly into the sky and imagining where they will land and grow. The seeds reminded me of Butterflies fluttering in the sky, hence why this piece is made with steel Butterflies. At night the lighted version is really stunning as the shadows of the Butterflies leave a lovely pattern on the walls, and lets off a gentle light which can be placed anywhere as battery run.

Full description
This is a one of a kind piece and is handmade with silver aluminium 0.8mm wire, recycled mirror, placed as mosaic onto a pine slice, which is painted silver. The stem is made from wood and wrapped in a steel ball chain. The seeds of the dandelion are diamanté butterflies, which sparkle in the sun and glisten with the LED battery lights. This piece looks lovely by a window in the day, but at night can be placed by a bare wall to work its magic with shadows.
