My love for trees came from living in the countryside where I grew bonsais and Japanese Maples. Recently, I moved back to London and missed the feeling of being surrounded by nature. I gave my bonsais and Japanese maples away to friends and family, but unfortunately, they were too difficult to take care of and withered. This gave me the inspiration to craft my own renditions of trees that will last forever and bring the peacefulness of nature into your homes.
I am a retired paediatric Oncology nurse and former art teacher living with my family and my beautiful cat, Yumi.
My favourite style of art is surrealism, and my preferred mediums are wire, glass, wood and stone. I am exploring more mediums as I develop my craft.

Full description
This is an aluminium silver coloured tree with copper foliage made with 0.8mm wire. It's secured onto a piece of grey Cornish slate, which I glazed in order for you to see the beauty of the colour as if it were wet. This sculpture stands 21cm high and the foliage is 23cm wide. The copper foliage shines when the sunlight or electric light shines on them and looks stunning in the daytime on a window ledge or with the attached lights on in the evening, giving a very relaxing gentle light. It's battery powered, so can be placed anywhere you want a gentle light. I never copy any of my pieces, as they are all original and one of a kind. My collection consists of surreal work and renditions of trees.
