I am only accepting orders from customers in England, Scotland and Wales at the moment, as the GPSR for EU and NI comes into effect. For UK customers (exc NI) I offer free postage as standard, using Royal Mail 2nd Class and I always try to get your order in the post within 24 hours of it being made.
I've added postage upgrades to some of my more popular Christmas items, so you can choose to pay to have your item posted with Royal Mail Tracked 24, or Royal Mail Tracked 48. If you'd like to buy an item that doesn't have this option and you want to get it faster, just drop me a message before you buy and I can add this to the item.
In 2024 Berwick-upon-Tweed are hosting a weekend of celebrations to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Old Bridge being opened to foot traffic.
James VI of Scotland crossed the original wooden bridge when travelling south to be crowned James I of England and didn't think much of its rickety state. So the Crown funded the building of a new permanent stone structure: work began in 1611 and opened to foot traffic in 1624 (and then subsequently to road traffic).
Alongside my pen and ink sketch of part of the bridge, I've also incorporated a crown encircling the rose of England and the thistle of Scotland. I've used an English Gothic-style for my hand-lettering (as this was popular in the 17th century).
