I wanted to create an illustration which captures the spirit of Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland, so I focused on creating ink drawings of 12 landmarks with a story to tell about the place and then added a splash of digital colour to give a fresh, modern feel.
From the Victorian lighthouse to the re-purposed Grade II-listed former public toilet, parts of the town’s Elizabethan fortifications, including the Bell Tower, and the earthen ramparts, as well as a Russian cannon, trophy of the Crimean War, the illustrations included in this series hopefully give you a flavour of what makes the town so unique! I include a small card with each purchase that lists each landmark and why it is interesting.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

Featuring pen and ink illustrations of landmarks from the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland, from its Victorian lighthouse to the massive defensive earthworks dating from the time of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. The landmarks were all chosen as being representative of the spirit, history or geography of the town. Each illustration is brought to life with a bold splash of colour, creating a vibrant palette that represents the character of the town.
A potted description of the full range of 12 images and their associated colour is included with this gift set as an added extra.
