Full description
This is a unique hand embroidered textile art piece.The piece is mounted in a white plastic rectangle frame, roughy 11 by 15.5 cm . With the embroidery itself being backed onto a piece of calico.
The work has been created through the layering of the base fabrics, organzas, lace, felt and naturally dyed silk. Before then adding the hand embroidery with a combination of French knots, satin stitch, stem stitch and lazy daisy stitches in order to create the natural floral growth and textural greenery.
The bees themselves have been created out of yellow sequins giving them a extra shine as well as the trail behind them being embroidered in metallic thread. Whilst the backing fabric has been dappled with blue inks/dyes to form a blue sky.
the piece has a over all fabric manipulated look created freely with raw fibre edges allowing the fabric to fall as it pleases when stitched creating more of a natural feel.
Each piece has been zigzagged finishing off the edge in a raw rustic looking style.
