Full description
This is a rustic woodland dimensional textile art piece that I have created placed within a recycled glass jam jar.
The piece has a felted and linen base along with wire structured felt ferns and mushroom. The base of the woodland has been hand embroidered with beads and textural wools in loops to form a grass/ mossy looking base, whilst being mixed with hand dyed cotton scrim, organza and woollen mossy green coloured fabric.
The cap of the toadstool has been created out of red linen and embellished with white pearlised beads.
The base to the piece itself has a slightly quilted feel and with look raised within the jar from certain angles.
The actual textile piece within the jar is lightweight and will move around during transport as it isn’t fixed to the jar making it removable if you wish.
The jar itself may have slight blemishes but almost looks new apart from the slight aged wear and tear to the lid as it is a recycled jar. Although I have used this as I feel it adds to the rustic piece itself.
The jar is about 5 inch high with a 2.5 inch wide base
The hight of the textiles itself out of the jar is about 3 inch from the base to the top of the mushroom.
All pieces are unique and one offs.
