Full description
This stormy grey swirled marble shaped lampwork glass beaded necklace was inspired by the weather as it was a heavy leaden grey day with snow swirling outside my workshop in little spirals.
The necklace is designed using 11 of my own handmade lampwork glass beads.
5 beads are shaped whilst the glass is molten to give a lovely round shape and the swirls of grey and white make them resemble marbles. These are graduated in size from 17mm to 20mm diameter.
The remaining 6 beads are plain clear glass (12.5mm diameter), with small silver lined seed beads used to space them.
The chain and toggle on the necklace is silver platedtoned
Necklace length is 18 12"
All my lampwork beads are digitally kiln annealed after shaping in the flame to give greater resilience and durability and once cooled I clean out the clay mandrel release thoroughly by hand reaming before I use them in my designs. The photos show the colour of the beads as accurately as possible, however, there could be slight variations in shade depending on your monitor. Remember that these are individually handcrafted so may have small imperfections or variations between each one, which makes each of my beads beautifully unique!
