Handmade junk journal made from recycled cardboard, quality paper, recycled paper and hand printed paper, vintage trim, threads and scrim.
This journal measures approximately 18cm x 13cm x 3.5cm. There’s 48 pages (double sided) of plain white, quality cartridge paper inside. The signatures are hand stitched to hold together and then tied into the cover with embroidery thread. This allows the end user to add to or modify the paper inside to suit their needs.
This is a one of a kind item that has been individually designed and handmade. The cover is made from cardboard and the decorative paper cover has been created from my own stitched monoprints. The scraps of the paper that I have used for the covers are included inside the journal in little pockets for the end user to incorporate in their own artwork.
Some of the paper is actually from offcuts that I have had since my art college days over 25 years ago! I am passionate about reusing materials and creating new things from unusual discarded items.
The paper inside is stitched into signatures that are tied into the journal. This allows the user to add or remove signatures if needed.
The journal is great for writing, poetry, artwork, sketches, mindful journaling or making notes.
A great gift for a person who wants to start creative writing or using a junk journal as a base to add their own ideas and artwork to.
The journal will be well wrapped and posted by Royal Mail second class.
