Full description
This gorgeous bowl is made from paper mache.
A special paper clay recipe using recycled paper and cotton rag pulp.
The bowl measures approximately 20cm diameter and 5cm height.
The bowl is decorated on the inside with decoupage hand printed tissue papers. The exterior of the bowl is painted with layers to highlight the texture of the piece. Finally I have given the rim a touch of silver gilding foil. The whole bowl is varnished with several layers of acrylic varnish for protection.
The bowl is designed for decorative use only. The finish is wipe clean only. Suitable for wrapped sweets or nuts.
A great addition on the coffee table or display shelf.
I have been making bowls like this for over 25 years since studying City and Guilds Papercraft.
I like to make items using recycled paper, each item individually designed and handmade in Wiltshire. A one of a kind piece.
