Full description
A hare sat in at the edge of a field surrounded by corn stalks and poppies. A little harvest mouse sits amongst the corn stalks.
A wool painting needle felted onto a piece of vintage blanket. Blended wool fibres in shades of blue for the sky. Brown multi toned wool fibre for the hare. Poppies are a luscious red and black fibre with wool curls for the stems. Hand embroidery details on the corn heads and leaves.
Framed in a new frame without glass. Having no glass means the textures can be appreciated. Attached to the back board with double sided tape - easily removed and can be placed in your own choice of frame when received.
Inspired by the sight of hares scampering down the lengths of cut wheat out in the countryside when out cycling.
The frame measures 38 x 29 cm cms.
I use mainly recycled packaging.
