Hello! Welcome to my Folksy Art Shop.
I am a UK based artist living in the West Midlands where I produce the original linocut prints and paintings. My work is inspired by all the lovely places I have travelled to and collected photo's and memories of over the years. Nature and landscape are 2 of my biggest inspirations.
I graduated from Birmingham Polytechnic in Graphic Design back in 1988 and have practised my art ever since. For a number of years I specialised in pen and ink drawings but over the past few years I have explored other media, and I'm always open to trying new materials and art forms.

I liked the contrast between the distant copse of trees and the trees in which I was standing. The red line marking the front tree (for felling I suppose) drew my eye.

Full description
This is an original watercolour painting with pen and ink.
It is based on photographs I took at the lovely Bodenham Arboretum, near Kidderminster, Worcestershire in the West Midlands of England.
This original artwork measures approx. 11.3 inches x 8.4 inches. There is a small white border (approx. 0.2 inches) around the artwork where I taped the painting to the drawing board while creating it.
This artwork will come to you unmounted and unframed.
I drew the composition in dip pen and ink (FW Acrylic Ink) then washed in artists quality watercolour paints (Daler-Rowney and Winsor & Newton). The artwork is created on The Langton Extra Smooth Hot Pressed watercolour paper (300gsm).
I have initialled the painting in the bottom right hand corner. I will also supply a small Certificate of Authenticity.
I will send the artwork out to you via 1st class Royal Mail Signed For delivery service.
Any additional items purchased at the same time will be sent at no extra cost.
