All of the jewellery pieces in this Folksy shop are handmade by myself in a lovely, shed studio in my back garden.
The handmade jewellery I make is inspired by nature, the coastline of my home Island of Mersea, meaningful words and the joy of simplicity.
Handmade in recycled sterling silver, recycled gold, sterling silver, copper, 14ct gold filled, and occasionally brass. Semi-precious stones, precious stones and beads are also featured in my work.

I have been making the mismatched full moon and crescent moon stud earrings for a few years, and are still really popular so decided there needed a dangly version of these - Enter the sleeper hoop moon earrings. You can even take the moons off and just wear the hoops on their own.

Full description
Recycled sterling silver sheet has been hand sawn into a crescent moon and circle shape for the full moon and hammered against concrete to form the cratered surface of the moon. Both sides have been given this lunar like texture.
Small rings have been soldered to the top of the moons, to slip onto the sterling silver sleeper hoops with ease. The moon's craters have been oxidised to emphasise their lunar appearance.
The sleeper hoops measure 1.8 centimetres across.
The full moon measures 0.9 centimetres across.
The full length of the earrings from top to bottom is 2.9 centimetres.
The earrings can take between 2 - 5 days before being dispatched. Posted by Royal Mail special delivery. Comes packaged in a earring box finished with ribbon.
