Full description

This attractive brooch has been developed from the traditional Dorset Cross Wheel button in a style popular during World War II.

It features a brass ring covered with buttonhole stitches worked in a light green cotton thread which has also been used to form the stalks of the posy. A spray of blossom is depicted with embroidered French knots in shades of blue and mauve.

The brooch is finished on the reverse with a safety pin and is presented on a printed card.

The brooch measures approximately 25 mm in diameter.

Designed by Rosalind Atkins in Dorchester
