The birthstone for October and Libra is Opal
Here I have used round beads of pink opal, a variety of common opal, composed of opal, palygorskite and chalcedony.
The opal gives a soft lustre, palygorskite gives the pink colour and chalcedony adds patterns of white, grey and black.
The Pink Opal works well with the subtle understatement of larvikite, which seems at first glance to be a mottled stone of paler and darker grey until light reveals hints of a silvery sheen and flash of blue.
Larvikite is named after the region of Larvik in Norway, and was named Norways national stone in 2008.

Pink opal and larvikite 6mm round beads with sparkly, premium 4mm crystal bicones in the colours 'padparadscha' and 'black diamond' bracketed by tiny 2mm faceted Rose Quartz beads
The beads are hung from ear-wires of gold vermeil.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the wires are stamped '925'.
These earrings measure approximately 1.35 inch (3cm) excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
