Full description
A truly unique ceramic moon ornament, which can be functional or decorative. With playful miniature astronauts balancing around the craters.
This adorable creation was hand-crafted from start to finish. The clay used is an off-white stoneware (fired in the kiln to 1200c), and has a textured matte surface on the orb itself, with glazed, glistening craters of copper and charcoal.
Dimensions are approximations due to the asymmetry of the piece, and should be a reference only.
Max Height (up to top of astronaut): 9.5cm
Max Width (to astronaut's outer arm): 9cm
Opening: 4cm - 5cm
There are a number of small holes hidden amongst the craters, enabling the piece to be suspended from above. The holes will also allow water drainage, should you wish to use it as a planter.
The possibilities do not end there, though! You might instead want to place a small light inside the chasm. The soft light emmitting through the craters gives an enchanting ambiance to any room!
