Handbuilt ceramic art

I am a ceramic handbuilding artist, using techniques such as slab, coil and pinching. With these three methods alone, the potential is endless! It only has to be imagined! I will make almost anything - if I can imagine it, I may well make it!! Whether it's peculiar curiosities, functional kitchenware, wall art, miniatures, or jewellery.

I started practicing ceramics around ten years ago, through a need to create and a lack of existing barriers between clay and the human hand. I love best the creative mediums where there is no delay between an idea and the materialisation of that idea. As with drawing or singing, expression can be direct! I believe art and craft should be open and accessible to all.

In 2018, while living in Montreal, Canada, I had my first studio, which worked wonders for improving both my confidence as a maker, and the quality of my work. I learnt from my peers, sold at markets, and had the space to experiment with different equipment.

Everything for sale here has been lovingly handcrafted from start to finish by me. I take pride in each object, however big or small. Each ceramic piece has been fired in a kiln to 1200°c, to stoneware quality.
