Full description
A lovely ceramic moon altar which fits into the palm of your hand. Beautiful as wall art decoration or for displaying your most cherished small items, such as crystals, trinkets and treasures.
Created by hand using clay slab, hand formed miniature astronauts depicted here playing and exploring the newly discovered surface! The cabinet was fired twice in the kiln - once for solidifying the piece and a second firing for the vitrification of the glazes.
This micro altar is full of stunning detail. The antics of the cosmonauts, peeking through craters and playing, is a moment frozen in time. The moon is dual textured - with a glossy interior and matte exterior. The stalactites and stalagmites within bring the cave-like interior to life.
The rocket, depicted on the top of the moon surface, has a small drill hole measuring approximately 3mm for mounting onto walls.
