The birthstones for October and Libra are Opal and Tourmaline.
For these earrings I have used nuggets of Pink Opal and with tiny beads of faceted black and pink Tourmaline.
Pink Opal is a variety of common Opal, composed of Opal, Palygorskite and Chalcedony.
The Opal gives a soft lustre, Palygorskite gives the pink colour and Chalcedony adds patterns of grey and black.
Tourmaline comes in a range of colours, and I have selected beads of pink and black to complement and contrast with the Pink Opal.
Rose Quartz is sacred to Venus, Libra's planetary ruler.

Full description
Drop earrings comprised of a Pink Opal nugget, 4mm Rose Quartz, 4mm premium Austrian crystal in 'rose peach' and a trio of faceted Tourmaline beads, one black and two pink.
The Pink Opal nuggets are approximately 9x7mm, rough cut oval shapes with some dark Calcedony inclusions.
The beads are threaded onto gold vermeil pins and hung from gold vermeil ear wires.
Gold vermeil is sterling silver that has been plated with gold, and the wires are stamped '925'.
These earrings measure approximately 1.35 inches (3cm), excluding the wires.
Your earrings will be wrapped in tissue and presented in a small organza gift bag.
Price includes delivery within the UK.
