One of my favorite pastimes is visiting the Beach and finding what as been washed up by the tide. I love to paint these little pieces of pottery they have such beautiful patterns on them. I try to imagine the lives of the people who have discarded them. What they were like as an whole piece of pottery. They must have been someones treasured item at one time.

Full description
Small handmade copper frame with original water colour painting.
The frame as Whitby Treasure embossed at the bucket and spade and small fishes at either side. The little painting is of broken pieces of pottery which my family and I have collected during our holidays.
Whitby is one of my favorite places to visit and I have spent many enjoyable hours beach combing and finding bits of pottery and interesting pebbles, sea glass and shells. It is a simple pastime but gives me such pleasure turning over a white piece of pottery and discovering a little snippet of a pattern.
This miniature painting measures 7.09 cm w x 11.09 h cm
painting size 4 cm w x 5.5 cm h
The painting is covered in Perspex and the back as cornflower blue felt with a little ring to hang. It looks equally as good just leaning against an ornament or the wall.
