I spin yarn to relax, often in front of the TV with the cat by my side. It's time spent with my vintage Ashford wheel and lovely fibre. This means I produce a truly handspun yarn (no electricity, just treadling foot power) which naturally has some variation. That's what gives handspun yarn it's character and life. It also means I don't spin to order. What I've listed here is spun and ready to go.

Full description
Muted Multicolour, 23g mini skein of DK/Worsted weight handspun yarn, 70% merino wool (19 micron) & 30% tussah silk, 45m (49 yds), 14 wpi
Viewed from a distance this yarn is grey green. Get up close and personal with it and you'll find shades of grey, sage, olive, turquoise, mustard, pine, pale blue and pink
Handspun from the fold using my vintage Ashford wheel and chain plied to give a lustrous, 3 ply yarn. This luxury yarn has a soft handle and good drape. Suitable for knitting, crochet, weaving and more. I've included an image of a woven scarf I made from similar yarn
Combine it with other colours of my handspun merino silk or other yarns of similar weight. This a DK or worsted weight yarn with a suggested tension/gauge of 22 stitches and 30 rows to 10cm4" on 4mm needles. Combine it with other colours of my handspun merino silk or other yarns of similar weight
This yarn is supplied in a skein (hank) with contrasting yarn ties. I wind a hank for each bobbin of yarn I spin and then weigh it. This means you might see some odd weights but you won't find any joins in your yarn. The length (yardage) of each skein is calculated (from skein length and number of turns) individually to give you the most accurate figure. I suggest you wind the yarn into a ball before starting your project, if you'd like me to do that for you just let me know
Cool handwash only. This yarn may felt
All my yarn is washed after spinning, this sets the twist and helps eliminate any loose dye
