I didn't follow a pattern when weaving this piece, I let it evolve, inspired by the contrasting colours of Hundertwasser's painting " The End of the Greeks, Ostrogoths and Visigoths.

Full description
"Homage to Hundertwasser" is a tapestry that has been handwoven using Linen, wool, cotton, sari silks, boucle yarns and various hand dyed yarns by Stef Francis and Sarah Cage. It has been created with vibrant shades of yellow, orange, reds and hot pinks, contrasting with shades of blue, black and green. It is varied in its texture from the matt quality of the wool fibres to the sheen of the silks and glitter of the gold threads. It has been stitched onto a hessian fabric and stitched onto a linen covered, canvas base for hanging. It is 30cm square with a depth of 2cm ( the tapestry itself measures 21 x 20cm)
It will be well wrapped in tissue and bubble wrap and packaged in cardboard then posted with Royal Mail. Where possible I reuse packaging to reduce cost to the customer and to the environment.
Designed by Claire Cooper-Walsh in Redditch
