Formerly 'Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch'.
My work predominantly comprises hand cut and burnished lino prints, with sewing playing an occasional part.
Whether working in print or in stitch, I am inspired by the natural world and the people around me, with words/text frequently playing an integral part.
* I endeavour to represent my pieces as clearly and with colours as true to life as possible, however some slight variations in tone between the image on screen and the piece itself may occur.*
I love to send and receive hand written cards. These festive cards with their hand printed artwork, touch of colour and blank insides would be perfect for a festive catch up!

Full description
Each of my cards is made to my own design, with my initial sketch transferred onto lino, cut and then burnished by hand onto a soft cream paper.
One card features a holly and ivy design, printed in black with touches of watercolour paint, and stitched onto a kraft card blank. The other design features a Christmas cactus with touches of pink and green ink. Here again, the soft cream paper is machine stitched onto a kraft card blank.
Each card is blank inside ready for your own message, is stamped on the reverse with a Buttons, Beads and Blanket Stitch logo and has a matching plain kraft paper envelope. The folded card measures approx. 15cm x 15cm.
Due to the nature of hand printing, variations in the print will naturally occur from card to card. This is all part of the beauty of a handcrafted piece!
