After my first attempt at making leaves from silver clay earlier last year, I decided to make some more. This material is quite magical, it looks exactly the same when it's dry and then after firing this beautiful piece of silver emerges.
As it was December it took a while to find a suitable Hawthorn leaf, small enough and in good enough condition to make a pendant from. I love how this one has come out. it's not possible to make the stem using the silver clay, it would be hollow and too fragile, so I've used silver wire.
I always buy recycled silver wire and all my chains are made from recycled silver too, I have a very good supplier.
