Inspired by the lack of shaving brushes for the lovers of petrol engines. By using the combination of our two skill sets this brush is the end product, we hope it appeals to the petrol heads of this world.
This shave brush has been developed with my passion for woodturning. The brush also complements our shaving stands that we make. Each shaving brush is an individual piece as everything is hand turned by Barbara on her woodturning lathe. These shaving brushes are all different and reflect the individual tastes and needs for something different in life when we all seek something out of the norm. We use vegan friendly finishes on these brushes where possible.

Full description
This shaving brush is turned from a piece of Spalted Beech wood set into a small aluminium piston, ideal for the petrol head in your life, or just for the person who loves the petrol engine. The finish is achieved by sanding down with grades of sandpaper to a fine grit then using Cellulose Sanding Sealer followed with three coats of Melamine Lacquer and finished with 3 coats of microcrystalline wax. The knot is a synthetic Tuxedo 24mm diameter knot, black base with silver tip, as shown below with its packaging tube.
Every shaving brush is documented and individually numbered, we send you this document of authenticity, when you purchase each one. This one is SB09, pyrographed on the bottom of the handle. Shown with Shave Stand SS20.
Size of Holder 87mm high x 35mm diameter approximately (including aluminium piston).
Size of Knot 65mm long x 24mm diameter approximately. Overall length of brush 145mm.
This shaving brush is made from organic, natural, solid wood and will distort if put near a heat source such as a radiator, it will also discolour if left in direct sunlight. The item you see here is the one you will receive and I have aimed to provide dimensions which are as accurate as possible. Please note that wood is a natural product and can be affected by its environment.
