These birds came about as an idea for making something on the wheel that could be altered. The original starting shape was something I used to use to make salt and pepper pots.

Full description
These raku birds are created using a thrown form that is then altered and added to in order to create these quirky little birds. Because they are raku fired ach one is slightly different in colouring and positioning. Making them very individual and unique characters. Photos show large and small. Large birds are approximately 9 to 10 cm high at the top of the tail and about 12-13cm long. The smaller ones are approximately 7-8cm tall and 10-12cm long.
