Full description
This handmade stoneware travel mug was thrown on my potter's wheel. Made from ivory speckled stoneware clay it is strong and durable. When the mug is partially dried the base is fettled and my potter s mark added. Once bone dry it is fired to 1060 degrees centigrade. Glazed with a glossy turquoise glaze on the top two thirds and matt chalky white on the bottom third. A totally unique glaze colour is created where the two glazes overlap in the middle. Glazed with a transparent on the interior. It is high fired in my kiln to 1222 degrees. My potter's mark is on the base. Each travel mug is unique so the one you receive may vary from the one in the picture.
The mug comes with pink or grey silicone lid and two interchangable grey sleeves; one slim, one wide. Silicone is made from Silica - which is not plastic and does not derive from the petrochemical industry. Choose your colour lid when placing your order.

By the very nature of handmade each mug is unique, the mug you receive may vary slightly from the pictures. Every batch is slightly different making them extra special.
