The stag in Celtic mythology is a symbol of the forest. A magical creature whos horns resemble the branches of a tree.
This beautiflul leaping stag is hand and machine stitched in unbleached cotton. Hand stained and painted for an aged primitive feel. Stars are embroidered all over, and, rusty tin bells are tied around his neck with jute. Spun cotton antlers adorn his head, and 1930s shirt buttons decorate each leg.
Stag is leaping over a rusty tin star. He is mounted on a piece of wood foraged on one of my many woodland walks.
A perfect gift for someone who loves quirky magical creatures.
Stag measures:36 x 29cm approx
