"Garrrr Garrr!"
Alongside traditional Alpine Christmas figures such as St Nicholas and the Krampus, there are groups of other figures who come out around the festive season, and this figure focusses on punishing naughty or lazy little girls.
These figures come under the umbrella term “Perchta”, and this design is specifically based on the Austrian variety, the Schnabelperchten. Like the Krampus, she may wear a basket to carry off badly behaved little girls, her scissors are for at the very least threatening to disembowel her quarry, and in the extreme, their use, filling their subject with sawdust and sewing them up.

Full description
This Dark Christmas card is a reproduction of one of my original lino print designs (available for purchase in my shop), but comes with the twist of being printed on a festive but also scary black on deep red!
It is A5 in size when folded (approx 15 x 21 cm) and is printed onto a 300gsm card stock, coated for a shine on the front and back and uncoated inside for ease of writing. It comes with a brown recycled envelope, and can accompany Krampus in an Alpine collection (please see drop down menu) , do have a look around my shop and if I can help, please message me.
It would also look striking framed and added to your home decor!
All UK-bound items are sent 1st class delivery. Please contact me if you would prefer another method. All overseas-bound items are standard delivery, again, if you wish to have it tracked, please contact me and I will sort this out, please expect a higher postage cost for this. If you are in the EU, and would like any items, please let me know, I can work out postage but please bear in mind that there will be a charges for customs.
