A slipcast piece such as this will take 4+ hours to make from start to finish. In addition to the process of making the vase there are the costs of the clay, the first firing, glazes and oxides and the gas etc. for the raku stage. In this instance it was a test to see if something with such thin walls could survive the raku process, which it did.
